Keep in mind, most of these pictures were taken with a very wide lens. The
benefit of this is, you can see a whole lot of stuff. The drawback is, the
size and distance of all the stuff you see is greatly distorted. For instance, the street I live on is not actually fifty yards across. If this picture looks like it was taken in 1943, that's probably because that's about how old these places likely are. ![]() If you look closely, inbetween those palm trees you'll see the Hollywood sign. Again, the wide lens makes everything look far way. If you're standing on my patio, the sign actually looks more like this. ![]() Say you took this picture of the Hollywood sign and then you turned to your right and took a picture of the patio you were standing on. That picture would look like this.
